Jackson County Fire Rescue is a career department located in and serving Jackson County in the rural Panhandle of Florida. We are the sole provider of Advanced Life Support EMS and fire suppression within our county, which covers 955 square miles. We currently have thirty six (36) combat employees, all certified Firefighter II, and all certified as EMTs or Paramedics in the State of Florida.

Fire Rescue has four (4) stations located throughout the county. The stations are located in Marianna, Campbellton, Alford and Sneads. Each station is manned by three (3) working shifts.

Inter-local agreements are maintained with eleven (11) local municipalities and volunteer fire departments. The county's budget provides for some financial assistance to provide equipment. The local volunteer fire departments allow us to utilize additional man power as needed.

Members of Jackson County Fire Rescue must be dual certified and are required to obtain their firefighter license within one year of hire date. There are a total of twenty one (21) Paramedic/Firefighters and fifteen (15) EMTs/Firefighters. All EMS units are staffed to a minimum of one (1) EMT/FF and one (1) Paramedic/FF.

The Marianna Fire Station located on County Road 267 was a joint collaboration between the City of Marianna and the Jackson County Board of County Commissioners to provide a fire station to the distribution center and surrounding areas.
