Energy Conservation

  • Turn off all lights, radios, TVs, and computers when not in use.
  • Plan car trips carefully to save gas.
  • Walk or ride a bike instead of taking short car trips.
  • Improve your home's insulation.
  • Upgrade your heating and cooling for more efficiency.
  • Plant deciduous trees on the south and southwest side of our home to provide shade in the summer and allow for solar heating in the winter.
  • Plant evergreens on the north and northeast side of your home to provide wind-breaks for your home in the winter.
  • Recycle glass, paper, metal, and plastic.
